blog bio picture

Welcome to my new photo blog! I'm so excited to have a fun new home for my creative outlet. I am a mother of two, a wife and a photographer. I wish I were a awesome writer to go along with my photos but I'm just not. So, I will work with what I can do and post photos of my amazing clients and my beautiful family and friends. I hope you enjoy this little look into my life.

The Vincents

Another one of my favorite families.

I know I am over using this couch.  My hubby does not understand my need for prop furniture. He has already started plotting ways to get rid of my couch so I’m using it as much as possible before he gets his way.   (O:

The Downeys

It was so great to see this family again.  I think these three grandkids are about as cute as they come.  They were SO GOOD for me and OH SO photogenic!!

The Snowdens

This shoot was a walk in the park.  I loved every second of it.

Lovin’ this Pic

Now you can all see where Rio gets his good serious looks.  Dante took the serious look a little too serious and cried thru the whole shoot.

Where did that week go?

It’s all a blur.  Here are a few pics to feed my hungry blog.

BOO!

Rio really got into character.

Our baby bugga bee.

Elise

Ok so there is something that I have been noticing lately in my adventures as a photog.  I think the photogs who keep up with my blog will be able to relate too.  Here I go in trying to explain what I have been thinking…

There are people who love the camera. As in, getting their photo taken.   It makes my job fun and their confidence shows in the photos and the photos are great because of it.  BUT THEN there are people who the camera loves. It’s not that they are necessarily ecstatic to be getting their photo taken but the camera loves them anyway.   Well, to get to the point.  My camera loves Elise.  She has such a quiet confidence and the camera picks right up on.

We had a great time doing her bridals.  She brought her mom, sis, niece and cousin.  Catch the pic at the bottom of her sweet little niece and her mom.  Some day this pic will be priceless.

Alysa

LOVED Alysa’s ivory dress with the fall colors.  It was so cold the evening we did these.  I cant believe how well she pulled off not looking frozen.  Thanks Alysa and Diana.  I had a hard time narrowing it down to 12.

“Dr. Laura, I have a moral dilemma…”

What do I do with a fish that wont die?  Sounds silly I know but SERIOUSLY!!!  One year ago this week my hubby brought home a little fish for Rio.  I thought it was cute and fun.  So cute that I even took pics because Rio was so excited.  I predicted that the fish would be dead in a week and told my husband that because he bought it, he was going to have to explain to Rio why we were flushing his new and ONLY pet down the toilet.

One week passes and the fish still swims.  At this point Rio feeds it daily and hubby cleans the water every few days.  Perfect pet at this point.   This attention from the boys lasts for maybe a month and then I start to notice that I am feeding and cleaning the dang thing and I start to wish that it would die.  Horrible I know but I never asked for the thing to begin with.

ONE YEAR LATER,  I am 100% responsible for the thing.  I have considered flushing it alive but I cant make myself do it.  I have considered giving it away to some poor unsuspecting family but at the mention of that, Rio complains that it is his ONLY pet.  I have even considered buying a dog for Rio so that I can give the fish away but I think that starts a vicious cycle and I think that does make me a bad person to wish a dog dead.

So, I feed and clean the fish and think daily “JUST DIE ALREADY!!!”
